Send written instructions to the insurance company stating into which currency your policy should be switched and as of which date. Depending on the insurance company, you will have to enclose the original policy. Contact us in order to find out what documentation the insurance company will require.

Upon receipt of your letter, the insurance company will immediately convert the cash value of your policy. Even though the insurance company will usually serve you promptly, acting immediately is not a legal obligation. Some policy conditions allow up to five working days to complete the transaction.

The insurance company will convert whatever has been accumulated in your policy.

The cost for switching will vary from one insurance company to another - some will do the switch for free, others will deduct a fee from your policy value. 

Once the transaction has been completed, you will either receive an addendum to your old policy or a new policy document (depending on the insurance company).
